The Hippo comes in two sizes – choose the large size if you have the space and the money. If not, the small size is equally good value.

Large Hippo

This version can be used by a fully grown child (that's you!). You can therefore sit on it and rock your child from their first days of life. You may be tempted to sit on it when they're fast asleep. Many skiers use it to strengthen their legs by standing across it.

Toddlers can curl up inside the shaped runners and fall to sleep, or from two upwards use it to rock themselves. (When my children were young I used it with two youngsters and myself at the same time – ed.)

Small Stokke Hippo

Essentially the small Hippo saves you money and space. Children from one to five can enjoy it to the full. You can still sit on it yourself but the rock is not as relaxing.
