In Summer 2007 Back in Action launched a joint project with Sealy to produce an optimised back pain relief mattress. This mattress is called "Back in Action Mirrorform".

It incorporates Back in Action's experience of postural analysis and hopefully provides the best possible back care mattress.

The "Back in Action Mirrorform" is now available on a 60-day home trial. Back in Action installed over 3000 back care mattresses last year alone and we can help you choose the right mattress for your condition.

	2.5 cm luxury soft top layer to ensure mattress feels welcoming in colder weather. Grooves to ensure good air circulation. Netting cover to protect mattress when outer cover removed for washing.
	7.5cm high density slow action. Lets you turn over more easily. Maintains exceptional pressure relief while sleeping.
	Reflex layer gives life to mattress, provides a medium level of reflex, transmitting only minimal disturbance between partners when changing position at night. (luxury mattresses give bouncier feel but transmit more movement)

22cm thick with a luxury top. The mattress uses slower visco foam than all our other mattresses to create a surface which is optimized for sleep and changing position. Try making love on this mattress and you will appreciate its qualities even more.

NB: We haven't worried whether the mattress feels good when you prod it in the showroom. (most mattresses are made to feel good at first prod ... really ... so that people will stop and try them). We've made sure it supports you while you are relaxed and asleep.

After you've been lying on this for a minute or two the feel is exceptional ... effortless spinal alignment occurs for users with a wide range of build and shape. Sealy Mirrorform - Perfect Comfort

It's called "Perfect Comfort", but we'd call it "Perfect Luxury". This is the one chosen in our stores by people able to accept a softer feel mattress. Feels instantly luxurious and welcoming.

This mattress is available on our 'Sleep Relaxed' trial.

Soft Touch velour cover plus this mattress cleverly uses the ventilation slots to create localised extra softness. It also has extra latex to create a softer lumbar area which is part of the reason for its feel. We'd suggest you choose this if both you and your partner want a sensuous feel to the mattress and your back problems are non-existent or mild and transient.

Many people are tempted to choose a Pocket Sprung mattress, in the belief that this gives a top-quality luxury feel. We've displayed top-quality pocket sprung mattresses in our stores for 18 years. From our experience, in recent years the top-end visco mattresses like "Perfect Comfort" both out perform and last longer than pocket-sprung.

Sealy Mirrorform - Perfect Posture

If you have ongoing lower back issues such as prolapse then choose between this and the "Back in Action Mirrorform" (above). In construction the Perfect Posture is very similar to the Perfect Comfort (also above) but it costs less due to the absence of the Latex Lumbar area. (a reminder ... too much softness under the hips means the lower back muscles usually stay tense ... those with very healthy or young spines can accept this but for back pain sufferers too much softness can produce discomfort as the night goes on.

Both the Perfect Posture and the "Back in Action Mirrorform" will give good spinal alignment ...... you won't be surprised to know that we prefer the "Back in Action" version which in our opinion offers better lower back posture and also some other advantages.

NB: When you prod either mattress you may think they are a little firm ... especially the "Back in Action Mirrorform" ... but overcome this judgement and lie down for a minute ... you will be able to see what happens as your lower back relaxes ... AAAHHHH!

If you want to order on line and are now confused ... well we've had very good feedback from customers on mirrorform mattresses, and the Perfect Comfort and Perfect Posture are better than most mattresses available ... However ... we must be honest and say that most people in our stores with back issues will choose our "Back in Action Mirrorform" mattress and within two to three nights they can expect to feel their lower back muscles really letting go.

NB: It's not clear from the pictures ... one important difference ... The covers of both the Perfect Posture and the Perfect Comfort are sewn on and cannot be removed for washing. Sealy Mirrorform 2006 - Regular

The 2006 Mirrorform is in stock and on very large reduction. It was designed to be as close as possible to Tempur's 20cm mattress, in feel, appearance and covering.

In our stores people were torn between this and Tempur. However like tempur this product has a warm sleep factor and should only be chosen if like that feel. The Back in Action Mirrorform and the latest Sealy Mirrorforms have surface grooves for better circulation of air and Outlast covers to give microclimate control.

Nevertheless ... these are exceptional mattresses and great value while they last.

Sealy Mirrorform 2006 - Firm

The firm is similar to an old fashioned overcome orthopaedic ... choose this if you like a flatish mattress that is easy to turn over on. The regular is softer in initial feel ... and if in doubt choose the regular. They can be tested in store at Amersham store.
