When AsleepWaterbeds

I need convincing! Is a waterbed worth buying?

Waterbed Why choose a waterbed
Waterbeds are mainly chosen by those with back, neck or hip problems. But having chosen the bed for its pain relief properties the next stage is to fall for its comfort. Waterbeds are genuinely relaxing.

Waterbeds have been around for years, but because they are not available from main-stream bed companies you won't read a lot of good things about waterbeds in the press... he who pays the advertising calls the tune.

We'll try and explain honestly, and simply, why they are worth considering. In a word....blissful comfort (ok two words).

Forget the name waterbed... after all we don't call a conventional bed a “curled metal and bits of dead horse bed”. Its what it feels like that matters....and waterbed feels nurturing, cosy, comforting, supportive and are especially good if you have a bad back or difficulty feeling the right temperature at night.

Waterbed How does a waterbed work?
Water never wears out....so time and time again it can mould to your body, without the bed ever sagging or getting hard.

Because our bodies are mostly water we are able to sleep on a waterbed with virtually no tensions in our muscles. The water itself is actually soaked into a sponge like substance, so that the water moves very slowly, just enough to be able to accommodate even the gentle movement of your breathing....but not enough movement to disturb a partner.

The water is thermostatically controlled.. keeping you at a constant temperature winter and summer...which will actually feel warm in winter and cool in summer!

Waterbed Is it worth the money?
It's the best value complete bed money can buy. Acomplete bed starts at 1250 and a typical double will be £1400 to £1600 fully installed. The support of the bed will still feel the same in 15 years time....wheras a pocket sprung mattress will have aged over its life..

NB You'll need a new base so its not necessarily cheaper than a Tempur mattress fitted on your existing base.

Waterbed Our Waterbed Range
We have a favorite waterbed system, which use a patented system to provide enhanced comfort. This is available in a choice of finishes and drawer systems.

We display the bed at our Amersham, Bristol and Marlow stores where you can try it alongside the Tempur and Sleepshaper mattresses.
