I am delighted to have this opportunity to write about my experiences with the Mobiliser over the last 15 or more years. I am an Upledger CranioSacral Therapist, Certified International Healthcare Educator, author on gut health and trauma and ex professional dancer with significant back injuries.

I bought my first mobiliser at least 15 years ago for my benefit and thought I might use it on some of my clients. I loved it from the first time I experienced it and have used it myself several times a week almost every week since that day. It has been a fundamental part of keeping my back mobile and comfortable to the point where I can now deadlift 100kg. This is incredible progress. It allows me to lift weights, rediscover my passion for training on the aerial hoop as well as playing with my grand daughter without restriction. If my back begins to feel a little tight or uncomfortable, I make sure I go on my mobiliser as soon as possible. Of course I also do stretch and mobility work on it and do not sit for long periods of time even on my Back in Action rocking kneeling chair (which I love!). It is a huge part of my staying healthy and strong routines.

I discovered early on that it was great for my clients as well. I often invite mothers and/or fathers of babies and young children to use it while I treat the child. Mothers are tired, often have sore shoulders from hours of holding the baby, and really appreciate the time to de stress and support their health.

Of course it is important to remember that our spinal health impacts all aspects of our health, so the benefits are far reaching. The mobiliser is very helpful for calming and integrating the central nervous system via its’ deep proprioceptive pressure. This is invaluable for stress, trauma, ptsd, anxiety and sensory processing issues. As a result of this I often put young people with sensory processing dysfunction, autism or anxiety on the Mobiliser for 10 mins before transferring them to the couch for craniosacral work. It is a winning combination.

Adult clients with back problems, anxiety, recovering from chronic illness and very stiff from inactivity, all love the Mobiliser and I often give them 10-15 minutes on it before they have the craniosacral work. This is calming, loosens up the spine beautifully ready to receive my therapy.

I have just purchased the new upgraded Mobiliser and am enjoying it immensely. It is a non negotiable part of my life.
