I am a Fitness Instructor (Personal trainer) of nearly 30 years and trained as an International Sports Therapist, Bowen Therapist, Biomechanics Coach over the last 25 years, I have just completed 10 years training in CranioSacral Therapy.
I got into all of that for the same reason as the guy who had the genius to create the Mobiliser Massager (David Newbound). I had a serious accident in 1978, spent fortunes on treatments of all sorts, some of which worked, some didn’t. At that time none of the Therapists gave self help, so I would feel better for a few days, spent the rest of the time in between treatments in agony or so debilitated I could barely function.
I got myself really strong and fit, that in itself made a very big difference but I still needed treatments too regularly for my liking.
I researched products for years, including the Mobiliser, I took the plunge 4 years ago and ended up buying TWO. I have one at home for personal use and one which I integrate in to my Sports Therapy work. I have dragged the machines on courses with me and demonstrated them, I am so impressed. I have taken them to the Osteopathic centres where I receive treatment and again Practitioners are amazed at how effective they are. Instead of bi-weekly Osteopath appointments I have treatment every 2 months and frankly that’s more out of fear of the problem returning than actually needing treatment.
Some of my clients have gone on to rent or buy a machine for themselves after receiving sessions, others use it weekly to maintain their wellbeing at the fitness centre where I hold my clinics.
I could go on and on about the amazing changes in myself, my husband who rupture 3 discs in the early 80’s and suffered terribly, and all the clients and members of the public who now have access to this brilliant piece of equipment.
I don’t want anyone to suffer pain or spend fortunes on treatment and not know what they can do to help their situation.
To use the Mobiliser Massage Bed at Northcroft Leisure Centre in Newbury is £8.00 per session, to have a guided demonstration is £ 15.00 (which takes about ½ an hour).
